Cannes France - On the Go with Josieo
Published Monday, October 14th 2024

Visiting Cannes, Eze, Monaco & Monte Carlo on the French Riviera was an incredible experience. Each destination offers such unique charm.
CANNES
Nestled along the sun-drenched French Riviera, Cannes is more than just a luxury playground for film stars and jetsetters; it’s a captivating Mediterranean port stop that offers a rich tapestry of history, culture, and breathtaking coastal beauty.
Cannes is a glamorous city best known for the annual Cannes Film Festival, one of the most publicized film festivals in the world, which takes place every May. The festival attracts filmmakers, celebrities, and industry professionals from around the world.
Beyond the film festival, Cannes is known for its beautiful beaches, luxury hotels, and vibrant nightlife, and it is a stunning place to see! Our group enjoyed driving through the city on our way to explore other towns along the French Riviera.

EZE
Perched high on a rocky hilltop overlooking the azure Mediterranean Sea, the charming village of Eze is a true gem in the French Riviera. This town can only be reached on foot by trekking up the stairs and the cobblestone paths. This medieval village is still home to 9 families and now two 5-star hotels!
Art and culture thrive in Eze, with numerous galleries and artisan shops lining the streets. The village is also famed for its perfume-making heritage, and visitors can indulge in the aromatic experience at the Fragonard Perfume Factory, where you can learn about the art of perfumery and even create your own signature scent.
My only regret is not having more time to spend in this charming little town. I could spend a day or two here, no problem. I feel like sitting on a balcony overlooking the sea in a 5 star resort sounds like a fantastic idea. Who’s with me? Alas, our group was excited to get to our next stop!

MONTE CARLO, MONACO
Monaco, the second smallest country in the world, covering only about 2.02 square kilometers, after Vatican City. Despite its small size, it's packed with charm and glamour!
We drove by the Palace where Prince Albert and Princess Caroline reside. The flag was out, which indicates the prince was in the residence. Sadly, he did not pop out on his balcony to say hello.
And who can resist Monte Carlo, where you can lose track of time — and maybe a little cash, truth be told... you could lose a lot of cash!
It is famous for its luxury and glamour, and Monte Carlo is one of the most famous gambling destinations in the world due to the presence of the Monte Carlo Casino.
The Monte Carlo Casino has been open since the 1800s and its famous for architecture and rich history. The Casino attracts tourists and high rollers from all over the world.
If you have time don't miss the Princess Grace Rose Garden. The views were stunning and its' the perfect spot for a picnic lunch.
