Cagliari is the capital city of the Italian island of Sardinia. It is situated in the southern part of the island, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Cagliari is known for its rich history, beautiful beaches, and vibrant culture.
If you enjoy the historical aspects of visiting new locations, Cagliari has a rich history, with influences from various civilizations, including the Phoenicians, Romans, and Catalans. Notable historical sites include the Cittadella dei Musei, the Bastione di Saint Remy, and the Roman Amphitheatre.

The stunning beaches are very, very popular. A group of 40ish friends and I, decided to enjoy the views from the Mediterranean Sea. We booked a private excursion with Sardinia Dream Tours and reserved a couple of motorboats and a Maxi Zodiac. We had an amazing day swimming and sunbathing and taking in the beauty of the beaches despite not having clear skies. Sadly, we didn't have full sun (as you can see in our pictures) because there was a sand cloud from the Sahara Desert. Who knew that was even possible? I sure didn't! You learn something new every day, I guess!
As far as eating in Cagliari, Sardinian, the cuisine is unique, with dishes like malloreddus (gnocchi), culurgiones (stuffed pasta), and porceddu (roast suckling pig). Cagliari’s restaurants and markets offer a taste of the local flavors.
Duanima is a small, charming restaurant with Sardinian dishes. It's out of main touristy areas, so you will need to plan ahead. We didn't have time to eat there, but I have heard it's amazing.
